Well done to everybody involved and a huge “thankyou” to all the local people who volunteered to help us.  We are not getting any younger and the help is much appreciated.

Of course a huge thank you to everybody who kindly gave us a donation.  We hope that our sleigh, elves and Santa brightened your December!

The event took place in the village hall on Moira Dale at 7.00 pm. Tickets were £10 if reserved in advance through our website. All tickets were paid for at the door. A Licensed bar was run by Rotary Club of Castle Donington.

A huge “THANK YOU” to everybody who came to support the event and to our dedicated food preparation team plus the hard workers who set-up the venue, ran the bar and took it all down again!

This year was rather difficult for us.  The weather was very cold at times making pavements slippery.  We also had more than our fair share of technical difficulties and we were unable to make it to Shardlow this year for which we are sorry.  Our last night’s collecting was curtailed by a puncture in the Landrover.

Well done to all those who turned out in the cold and the wet weather.  Well done to Mary Moorcroft for organising the sleigh runs.  Thanks to our “behind the scenes” team of costumiers and sleigh technicians (especially Graham Downes) who kept the show on the road.  Thanks also to the Parish Council for the loan of the landrover.

We will keep you updated with the way the money is used in the various LOCAL grants we will make.
